Set underneath the highway running through Naha city Naminoue beach isn’t the picturesque beach that most people think about when someone mentions Okinawa. But the water is clean and the sand is hot so if you are looking for a quick dip in the ocean or the feel of sand between your toes when grilling on the BBQ then it doesn’t get much more convenient in Naha city than Naminoue beach.

Just 15 minutes from Naha Airport or a quick walk form Kokusai Street. Naminoue beach is a popular place with local families and youth to go for some recreation and relaxation without leaving the city. After taking a swim and drying off you could stop by and visit the near by Naminoue Shrine that sits on a hill over looking Naminoue beach. Also close by are some fast food restaurants and a few small shops where you can pick up some sun screen incase you forgot it.
