Higashi Henna Promontory, Miyako-jima

f you travel to the most Eastern part of Miyakojima Island you will find Higashi Henna Promontory, some of the greatest scenery on the entire island. Stand at the very tip of the promontory and look to the left, there is the East China Sea and on the right you will find the Pacific Ocean.

Higashi Henna Promontory offers visitors 360 degree views of the coral reef below that is clearly visible from the top of the cliff through the crystal clear waters. Schools of colorful tropical fish can be seen swimming among the plant and coral life. Also on the top of the promontory are blankets of flowers that bloom different colors seasonally giving good reason to keep coming back to this wonderful place throughout the year.
