Rising over 200 meters (650 feet) above the beautifully clear emerald green sea and the coast with its white sandy beach stretching for 12 km, is Hiyajyo Banta. This massive cliff offers some of the most spectacular views on Kumejima Island. Visitors to Hiyajyo Banta can see near by Hatenohama Island, Aguni Island, the Kerama Islands floating on the horizon in the distance from the magnificent vantage point at the observatory on top of the bluff.
