Hateno Hama Kumejima Island, Okinawa Japan

This 7 km of uninhabited Sandy Island off the Coast of Kumejima Island, known as Hateno Hama is also called 360℃ Island or Faraway Beach. The water at Hateno Hama is amazingly clear and warm. You can enjoy snorkeling, glass bottom boat tours and many other fun beach activities. Please remember to bring your sunscreen or beach umbrella as there is no shade at this piece of Okinawa paradise. The island does have one toilet but there are no showers.

To get to Hateno Hama ask your Kumejima hotel reception desk to see if there are tours leaving from your hotel or contact Hatenohama Kankou Service (Japanese). This island is definitely worth visiting

* Little tip about Hateno hama:
When you take a Hateno hama tour, usually they will come with lunch box but it is recommended to bring your own drinks and snack as there are none on the island. Please don’t forget to take your garbage with when you leave back!
