Place to stay in Okinawa

Hello.

My wife and I are planning to go to Japan for our honeymoon this June.

We will go see Tokyo, Kyoto and Hakone. We would also love to go to Okinawa and spend a week down there.

Could anybody help me plan where to go and where to stay in Okinawa?

We just want to have a relaxing time down there.

Any advise would be helpful!

Heya Harry, I am sure the admin of this site will be able to help you out. You looking for someplace remote? I really like Ie Island myself. I have not been to some of the extreme outer islands yet, I bet they are nice though.

Hi ya Harry

There is just so much to see and do in Okinawa it’s hard to know where to start.

But at least you gave us an Idea of what you want to do …..Relax
I would suggest spending a few days on the main Okinawa Island so you can see a few of the sights like Shuri Castle, Churaumi Aquarium and Okinawa World
Then maybe think about heading over to Irabu & Shimoji Islands. There is a lot of nature on these two connected islands and they are a pretty good place to just chill out

According to the website Ie Island is close to the aquarium.

That's one of the place my wife wants to go so staying that area might be good.

Do you know any accomodation you recommend in that area?
