Municipal Yaeyama Museum

This quant little museum offers visitors a unique perspective into the history of this group of Okinawa Islands known as the Yaeyama Islands. The Municipal Yaeyama Museum exhibits over 5,000 artifacts from all the Yaeyama Islands and also displays many items with great cultural significances to the people who live in the most southern part of Japan. Museums like this one are a great chance to get a glimpse into the past of the local area and see what has changed and what has remained the same for hundreds of years.
