The area surrounding the Okinawa Convention Center is packed with the sights and sounds of the city including Ginowan Tropical beach and an open air theater. The city also features the historic Futenma Shrine with its 280 meter shrine caves and the Sakima Art Museum dedicated to The Battle of Okinawa and other themes.

	Futenma Shrine One of the eight major shrines of the Ryukyu Islands  two large temples with golden ornamented trim stand between the modern buildings of Ginowan . Within the grounds are the 280 meter-long Futenma Shrine caves, these caves were the original place of worship for the Okinawan people.
	Okinawa Convention Center serving multiple functions with its exhibition hall, theater, conference hall, and seminar room. Meeting the needs of all major conferences. It has fully equipped support and backup systems to assure smooth convention operations.
	Sakima Art Museum Opened on November 23, 1994 by Michio Sakima in an effort to convey his message of world peace. This Okinawa art museum has several themes closely related to each other "Human and War," "Life and Death," "Agony and Relief," and the very important exhibit on the Battle of Okinawa
