Miyako Island Wide 100km Marathon

The Miyako Island Wide 100km Marathon is a very popular event that takes place every year due in a large part to the enthusiastic volunteers from the local communities. The marathon features three courses; the famous 100km run, and the lesser in distance but not in achievement 50km, and 21km runs. This marathon is very popular with runners from all over Japan and the world and each year sees an interesting mix of participants. The courses give ample opportunities for runners to soak in the beauty that is Miyakojima Island as they pass by some of the most beautiful beaches in Okinawa, Japan and the world.
