Designated one of the official Okinawa scenic spots, this is a must see place while on the Okinawa main island. “Man” means 10,000 in Japanese and when the Ryukyu king Sho Kei visited the cliff in the 18th century he commented the field was so large 10,000 people could sit together, the name Manzamo has stuck ever since. Manzamo is a popular place to stop for a picnic, or play some sports on top of the symbolic cliff’s massive grassy field. Many vendors are near by selling souvenirs, food, and drinks to tourists at this scenic central Okinawa setting.

Directions: From Naha Airport take Highway 58 north towards Nago. From Kadena Circle, go north about 21 kilometers. Turn left towards Cape Manza
