Kumejima Marathon, Okinawa Japan

Ongoing for over 20 years now the Kumejima Marathon grows in popularity each year as one of the many Okinawa marathons that take place all throughout the year. Kumejima Island is a great place for a run as it is not too mountainous and offers some amazing views along the well planned out route. Participants have the choice between a few different distances to race depending on their abilities and fitness levels. All participants receive a T-shirt, a bottle of Kumejima Awamori, and a participation medal.

-Full Marathon 42.195km start at 7:30am
-Half Marathon 21.0975km start at 9:00am
-10km Marathon start at 9:10am
-5km Marathon start at 9:30am

Because Kumejima is a small Island it is recommended to book hotels or other accommodations well in advance as most available rooms are fully booked around the time of the marathon.

Half / 10km /5km 3,000JPY (2,000JPY high school student)
