Itoman Okinawa, Festivals & Events

Itoman plays host to a wide variety of festival and events throughout the year. Like most festivals in Okinawa many of these events are high energy, full of music, dance and tradition. The Itoman Hare (dragon boat race) is one of the biggest and oldest of the Ryuku Islands and Itoman’s very traditional Tug-Of-War is open for any one to join. The peaceful illumination and Hometown festival events are just two more yearly events.
