Hamby "Free Zone", Flea market

A little South of Mihama’s American Village and north of Araha Beach is the area of Hamby. Named after the old Hamby Air Field this area is most famous for the “Hamby Free Zone”, a flea market that erupts with activity every Friday and Saturday night. Locals set up stalls on the streets and patrons come to try and find the best deals or just mull around and check out the goings on of the evening.

During the rest of the week Hamby is a great place to go if you are looking for an izakaya (Japanese pub) or restaurant as this area is jam packed with them. The area is in a constant state of transformation as more land gets bought up for the ever expanding commercial development projects going on in near by Mihama.
