Festivals in Kunigami Village Okinawa

Keeping traditions alive is an important thing in the Northern Okinawa Village of Kunigami and each year the festivals that take place here help with this task. The women Only Eisa festival is unique to this area of Okinawa. The massive Yanbaru Carp Festival celebrated on Childers day during Japanese Golden week draws crowds of local Okinawans and tourists for the festivities.
