Busena Underwater Observatory

busena beach resort Underwater Observatory Nago okinawa

Want to see under the water in Okinawa but without SCUBA diving? Well Busena Terrace Beach Resort Underwater Observatory located in the Busena Terrace Beach Resort Marine Park is the place to be for that.

After walking down the long wooden pier and descending a spiral staircase over 40 feet under the ocean the 360 degrees view can’t be beat. The numerous windows in the under water structure allow visitors to see the tropical sea life swimming around in their natural habitat. On the walls between the windows are posters with the names and pictures of all the fish, allowing guest to make a list of which ones they spot.

In the Busena Terrace Beach Resort Underwater observatory there is not much live coral to be seen but for a better glimpse of live Okinawa coral just head right next door to the other pier for glass-bottom boat rides. The boat rides go a little further out into the ocean and give a better chance to see the expansive coral reefs along with heaps more fish.
