Banna Park, Ishigaki Island Okinawa Japan

Located on the Southeast of Ishigaki Island Banna Park is a prefecture run and maintained park. This very scenic park and is a perfect place to have a picnic or to simply explore. For the more active types it is a great park to go for a bike ride, run, or walk. For hikers and nature enthusiasts the park itself is very large and has numerous trails to discover.

Banna Park is home to a large collection of over 2,500 tropical and subtropical plants made up of many different species. Depending on the season visitors who venture to Banna Park might see butterflies, cherry blossoms, or some of the famous Ishigaki-jima fireflies. Banna Park is also home to the only suspension style bridge in Okinawa Islands. One of the most popular places to visit in Banna Park in is the top of the observation point, where excellent views of nearby Taketomi Island and Ishigaki City can be seen.
