Azama Sunsun Beach, Nanjo City Okinawa

If you're heading south, try Azama Sunsun Beach, located off Highway 331 next to the Chinen Marine Leisure Beach. Azama facilities include a first aid station, umbrella and lounge rentals, lockers, showers, restrooms, a snack bar and plenty of picnic areas. There is also a shop selling beach gear and refreshments.

Next door is a marina offering glass bottom boat tours, dive boat trips and ferry rides to Komaka and Kudaka Islands. Azama Sunsun Beach is on the south-eastern edge of Okinawa. Take Highway 329 south until it runs into 331 or take Highway 58 until it forks off into 331, follow it around the southern tip, past Peace Prayer Park. A map will be handy for this drive.
